Gesar Karate Club, a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), based in Holsworthy, Devon, is proud to announce that 11 of our athletes have been selected to represent England at the 2025 World Karate Championships in Germany – including 8 junior competitors aged 9 to 14!
This incredible achievement highlights not only their hard work and dedication but also the strength of community-driven sports. Now, we’re inviting local schools, businesses, and individuals to become part of their journey.
Though Gesar Karate Club has been competing for only a few years, this will mark our third time representing on the world stage — a testament to the commitment of our athletes, coaches, and supporters.
Every kick, kata, and hour of training is fueled by passion. But making it to Germany also requires financial support, and that’s where you can make a real difference.
You can choose to support one athlete or more, and donate any amount you’re able — every contribution truly helps.
Each athlete needs an international fight licence to compete at the World Championships, costing £100 per team member.
Each athlete requires approved sporting equipment to compete at the World Championships, with costs averaging £300 per team member.
Each athlete will need to cover travel and accommodation expenses, averaging £1,000 per team member to represent England on the world stage.
